비오는 날

날은 춥고 어둡고 쓸쓸한데,
비는 내리고 바람은 결코 그칠줄 모르네.

덩굴은 아직 무너져 가는 담에 매달려 있으나,
돌풍이 불 때마다 고엽(枯葉)들은 떨어지네.

날은 어둡고 쓸쓸한데,

내 삶은 춥고 어둡고 쓸쓸한데,
비는 내리고 바람은 결코 그칠줄 모르네.

내 생각은 아직 무너져 가는 과거에 매달려 있으나
젊은 날의 희망들은 질풍에 무겁게 떨어지네.

날은 어둡고 쓸쓸한데,

잠잠하라, 슬픈 영혼이여! 불평을 멈추어라.
구름 뒤에는 아직 태양이 빛나고 있나니.

운명이란 모두에게 공통된 운명,
살다보면 가끔씩 비가 내리기도 하는 법.

몇몇 날들은 어둡고 쓸쓸하기도 한 것을.
